FRONTERA DANCE PROJECT draws upon the connection to our history, identity, community, and the imagination to create new traditions and expressions of dance. We blend traditional and contemporary movement for a fusion of dance that is multifaceted.

Frontera Dance Project’s Vision is to share our story, our movement and our voices across the Frontera and beyond. We want our Frontera community to see themselves represented in staged performances devised and designed to celebrate and uplift who we are, to explore what we have to say and imagine who we can be.

Frontera Dance Project’s Mission is to bring together Rio Grande Valley dancers & artists of other performing disciplines to create and devise stories that reflect & speak to our experience as a Frontera.
